Protect yourself from insect bites

July 7, 2008

Summer insect bites and West Nile Virus in Northwestern Ontario.

Protect yourself from insect bites by

  • dressing properly,
  • using insect repellents, and
  • using a screen tent.

Deet is the most effective ingredient for repelling insects. This year, the mosquitoes, no-seeums and black flies in Ontario Canada are not as bad as you might think. Reports from Atikokan, Kenora, Red Lake, Thunder Bay and other areas are better than expected for this time of year!

Keep the mosquitoes away – and you’ll help ensure a much better fishing trip for everyone - and you can worry less about the risk of West Nile Virus.

Protect yourself from black flies and mosquitoes on your next fishing trip.  Prevent insect bites with effective insect repellent, moquitoe netting, and a screen tent, and reduce the risk of exposure to west nile virus.
